St. Paddy’s Day T-shirt

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us once again!  Need a last minute (or not so last minute) idea for a pinch-proof shirt for your kids?  Look no further! This year, Monkey is in preschool (‘kindergarten’ here in Germany) so I wanted to make sure he’s dressed festively and wards off any pinching.

I decided to use freezer paper to print the design to his shirt (since it worked so well on his Just Plain Lucky St. Patrick’s day shirt) and in 15 minutes, voila, I’m done!  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is one of the easiest, cheapest, quickest and must I say cutest DIY t-shirts that I’ve created for a fun holiday for my kids.  The printable is available at the bottom of the page.  Click on the image, it will open to a new tab and print from there.  If you need it larger or smaller, play with your printer settings.

But first, a few tips:

  1. When cutting out the image, start with the center and work your way out (otherwise, you will cut your freezer paper free from the image you taped it to).
  2. Iron your shirt first, you will thank me later.
  3. Iron one piece of your cut out image to the shirt at a time.  It’s much easier to line everything up this way.
